Dr Alex Al-Shaikh is our principal dentist and clinical director. He established Maison Dental in the summer of 2017, which has grown rapidly bringing in patients from all over the UK and internationally. His main focus in on minimally invasive dentistry to produce beautiful makeovers safely and conservatively. He is also a content creator and organises all of the Maison Dental campaigns which have broken the mould in the way in which dentistry is marketed in the UK. His main focus is now on business development and producing a globally recognised dental brand.

Dr Richard Malloch (Leeds, London)
Richard Malloch graduated from Newcastle University in 1995 and has been working in dentistry since 1998. Richard then joined St. Ann’s Dental in 2005 to work alongside Paul in Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry. Richard has completed all four levels of his advanced restorative training with Dr Tipton in Manchester and has recently completed a Postgraduate Diploma (Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics) at Kings College, London.

Lucinda Coultate-Cowie (Dental Therapist/ Hygienist)
Lucinda qualified as a biomedical scientist in 2009 at the University of Central Lancashire. In 2013 she qualified as a Dental nurse then gained a postgraduate qualification as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist in 2016 at Leeds University. In 2010 she lived in Ghana for a month volunteering in the dental department in a hospital. Lucinda prides herself on offering compassionate and pain free dentistry. In her spare time she enjoys walking her cocker spaniel, snowboarding and enjoying the great outdoors.

We ensure that we provide a relaxing and inviting atmsophere to avoid any added anxiety which can often be the biggest factor for fear of the dentist.
Dr Richard Malloch is also fully certified to provide intravenous sedation and this can be incorporated into any treatment plan to enable a range of procedures to be completed, which may otherwise be impossible.

All staff undergo 12 monthly Basic Life Support training.
We have all necessary emergency equipment and oxygen available.
We also have a shock advisory defibrillator for the benefit of the local community.
Our building conforms to fire safety regulations.
Disabled Access
We have a ramp available, on request, for the main entrance to enable access to 3 ground floor surgeries.

Maison Dental only uses market leading products which are supported by extensive clinical research, data and evidence based results. This ensures patient satisfaction and safety. We provide a full range of dental implant procedures. All restorative materials used are of the highest quality. Laboratories procedures are of premium standard only.
Infection Control
Infection control is of greatest importance at Maison Dental and we have a dedicated infection control facility and operative. We comply with the latest cross infection control legislation. This is an going process with regular reviews of current good practice.
The Dental Register
Every member of our clinical staff is registered with the General Dental Council therefore adhering to their stringent terms and ethics of “practicing dentistry”. Dentists, dental therapists, hygienists and nurses at Maison Dental continually develop and update their skills and knowledge by attending professional lectures, meetings and peer reviews on a yearly basis. This is a requirement to be able to stay listed on the Dental Register.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC)
The practice is registered with the CQC and therefore underlies its exacting rules and regulations. Comprehensive inspections by the CQC will determine if the services at our clinic are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
